The issue if you have a huge transparent area in your textures, it will look like this if you only have one material for the whole model:
The transparent parts will actually hide what’s underneath them.

What you wanna do is make the transparent areas a seperate material, but not a new texture:
I named Sona’s basic material “sona_base” and the transparent parts “sona_veil”.
They are normal Lambert materials with no special settings.

With the new material added it will look like this:
